The Automobility Project is a cooperation between automotive departments across Europe. The project is funded by the Leonardo programme and has the aim to promote and support the possibility to go abroad for automotive students and teachers and at the same time gain accrediation. The Automobility network and website give students and teachers an overview of automotive modules across Europe. The network also aims to describe diffferent educational systems and in that connection make project modules, learning goals and evaluation of modules more transparent and understandable for a European cititizen.

The automobility network has now one more partner. Graafschap College from Holland has joined the network and have modules to offer for automotive students from students abroad.

Bridgwater College Students take part in Finland exchange

As part of the European project, Bridgwater College sent two Motorsports students to Finland to study for 2 weeks at the Kuopio Technology College. Lewis Crocker and Tristan Watkins arrived in Finland in a very cold February (-20 degrees!) this year. They spent their days studying with the Finnish students and taking part in both practical, theory and written assessments. While Lewis and Tristan were there, they made a video diary of the events of the 2 weeks. We will be uploading the video diaries under the "Student Stories" section soon.

New modules for 2011 in 6 different countries

Look out for the activities in the project calendar. If you press the calendar, you will be able to see all the automotives modules which are offered in the spring 2011 -by 6 different countries in Europe!! Would you like to go to Denmark for a suspension/steering course or to Holland for an air conditioning course. Check out the module desscriptions from each country.
